Odelair Pierre
Odelair Pierre is a committed humanitarian, experienced journalist, and community leader dedicated to protecting human life and dignity. Born on March 2, 1976, in Verrettes, Haiti, he has devoted much of his life to serving others through both media and humanitarian engagement. Fluent in multiple languages, he also works as a professional interpreter, bridging communication between cultures and communities.
Odelair Pierre brings exceptional expertise in journalism, humanitarian leadership, and cross-cultural communication. His professional skills combine media advocacy with hands-on disaster response experience, enabling him to lead impactful initiatives and bridge communities for positive change worldwide.

Personal experience
With a background in journalism and communication, Odelair has used his voice to advocate for the most vulnerable and raise awareness on critical social issues affecting Haiti and beyond. His passion for humanitarian work led him to become an active member of the International Red Cross, where he gained extensive experience in emergency response, crisis management, and global humanitarian standards.
He has participated in field missions, training programs, and disaster preparedness efforts, always serving without discrimination. In addition to his role at GVPH, he serves as president of Bannzil Kreyòl Ayiti, a cultural and civic organization focused on Haitian identity, education, and empowerment. As the founder and president of Groupe Volontariat pour la Protection de l’Humanité (GVPH), Odelair leads with compassion, vision, and conviction—committed to uniting people in service of humanity and ensuring dignity for all.
