WHO WE ARE
Our Story
Volunteers Group for humanity protection “Groupe Volontariat pour la Protection de l’Humanité” (GVPH) was officially founded on September 2, 2017, by a team of committed citizens who shared one common belief: that unity and action can preserve human life. Since our beginning, GVPH has grown into a recognized nonprofit that places trained volunteers at the forefront of humanitarian and community-centered initiatives. We exist to promote a culture of service, inclusion, and response. We are a movement powered by everyday people who rise to serve in moments of urgency and need. Our team includes professionals, students, community leaders, and everyday citizens who believe in protecting humanity regardless of location, status, or circumstance. GVPH operates with full respect for all individuals, guided by principles of transparency, accountability, and collective action. Through our work, we create space for hope, restoration, and empowerment.

Volunteer Training and Capacity Building

Mission
Our mission is to build and support a global movement of volunteers dedicated to protecting life, restoring hope, and responding to humanitarian challenges. We work to strengthen individual and community resilience through training, emergency support, education, and advocacy. GVPH exists to empower action, one person, one gesture, one mission at a time
WHERE WE WORK
GVPH is rooted in Haiti, where it began, and expands its reach through strategic partnerships, community networks, and volunteer groups. Our focus is to work wherever needs arise, prioritizing high-risk areas, vulnerable communities, and underserved regions. We assess needs locally and build solutions from the ground up, ensuring the people we serve are part of every response and recovery effort. GVPH is fully registered and legally recognized in the United States, Canada, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and several other countries. We are actively working to expand our presence in more countries and communities, guided by the same commitment to protect life and restore dignity wherever it is needed.
